Senior Architectural Technologist, Workplace Interiors
Rhythm Careers is recruiting for a design studio that specialises in workplace interiors, working with clients in tech, finance, professional services, hospitality and residential.
They need a senior architectural technologist to take charge of technical delivery on projects, from concept through to construction. You'd be the one keeping Revit and BIM standards in check across the Interiors team, and making sure documentation, coordination models and tender packages are up to scratch.
Expect a lot of coordination with architects, engineers, designers and clients, some based overseas, so you'll need to be someone who communicates well and doesn't need much hand holding. There's a technical problem solving side to the role too, plus some input into how the studio's digital workflows and templates develop over time. You'd also be mentoring junior technologists as part of the job.
To be considered you'll probably have seven plus years' experience as an architectural technologist, with some background in workplace or commercial interiors. Revit needs to be a strength, not just something you can get by with, and you should understand BIM workflows properly. Good construction and detailing knowledge is important too, along with the ability to work independently when things get busy.
Design ability isn't essential but it helps.
In return, you'd be working on interior projects for some well known global companies, with a fair amount of say in how the team's BIM and Revit processes evolve. The studio is design focused and puts money into training and CPD. Salary and benefits are competitive.
