With an art led approach to design, the studio is recognised for creating highly bespoke interiors, custom furniture and thoughtfully curated spaces that reflect each client's lifestyle.
Many of the studio's clients own multiple residences, including homes in Hong Kong, resulting in a portfolio of sophisticated, internationally influenced projects and a strong network of repeat and referral clients.
Following continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Intermediate Interior Designer to join their collaborative team. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer with 2 to 4 years of experience to work across exceptional luxury residential projects and develop their skills across all areas of interior design.
The Role
This is a well rounded interior design position, offering exposure to the full creative process from initial concepts through to installation.
Working closely with senior designers and the wider team, you will contribute to the development of highly personalised residential interiors, from space planning and design concepts through to FF&E, material selections, custom furniture and final installation.
The role would suit a designer who is creatively driven, highly detail focused and enjoys being involved in different aspects of the design process.
Responsibilities include:
• Supporting the design of luxury residential projects from concept through to installation
• Developing design concepts, mood boards, presentations and material palettes
• Producing furniture plans, layouts, elevations and detailed drawings
• Researching and sourcing furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, artwork and decorative pieces
• Assisting with the selection and specification of FF&E
• Contributing to custom furniture and bespoke design pieces
• Working with senior designers to develop cohesive and highly personalised interiors
• Preparing client presentations and design packages
• Liaising with showrooms, vendors and suppliers to source materials and furnishings
• Attending showroom visits, vendor appointments and project site visits
• Supporting the team during installations and seeing projects through to completion
• Maintaining organised project documentation and schedules
• Bringing creative ideas and design solutions to the studio
You will have:
• 2 to 4 years of professional interior design experience, ideally within luxury residential
• Experience across a range of interior design stages, from concept and space planning through to FF&E and installation
• Good knowledge of furniture, materials, finishes, lighting and decorative elements
• Strong technical drawing and documentation skills
• Experience using AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp
• Experience with Design Manager would be advantageous
• A strong eye for detail and a thoughtful approach to design
• A proactive, collaborative and curious attitude
• A genuine passion for interiors, furniture, materials and bespoke design
• A full driver's licence with the flexibility to travel to project sites throughout New York and the surrounding areas
