Rhythm Careers are proud to be partnering with a large scale luxury hospitality design studio in the heart of New York City.

We’re seeking a talented Intermediate level designer with 5+ years experience. This role is suitable for an all-rounder designer, someone who can confidently work across all stages from concept, construction documentation, manage FF&E and coordinate with vendors and consultants to ensure smooth installation.

If you bring experience in producing detailed millwork design, case goods packages, modular millwork or brand standard furniture solutions that’s a major plus!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document design concepts for interior design and space planning
  • Sketch preliminary designs and produce visualizations from 3D models that reflect the proposed floor plans, RCPs, elevations, and FF&E
  • Create design presentations, mood boards, and material boards/binders to help convey look and feel of design concepts to clients
  • Prepare design specifications and coordinate with project architects and project managers to ensure project completion in compliance with design intent
  • Meet with clients to determine project requirements and advise on interior design scope including space planning, furnishings, material selection, and color coordination

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in architecture or interiors; preferred focus on interior design
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, architecture, or relevant field
  • Hospitality design experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledgeable in materials, finishes, millwork design, FF&E, and OS&E
  • Strong experience in spec writing; knowledge of Specsources is preferred
  • Experience with all project phases (Concept through Construction Administration), including built work
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud; knowledge of Rhino, Revit, Enscape, and V-Ray are preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to meet fast-pace and changing deadlines
  • Highly motivated self-starter, with an attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for working on multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative teams
