Rhythm Careers is working with an established architectural practice to find a Senior Architectural Technologist for their London studio.
Focused on data centre projects; this is a senior, hands on role. You'll take ownership of technical packages from concept through to construction, acting as the go to person for buildability, compliance and design quality. You'll also mentor junior staff, get involved in tenders and proposals, and help represent the practice to clients.
You'll produce sketch and concept designs and presentation material to help win work, then see it through technically to construction stage. You'll keep a commercial head on, balancing budget and quality in your technical decisions. Coordinating consultants, contractors and clients will be part of the day to day, along with mentoring and supporting junior team members. Some site visits are involved, occasionally overseas (plenty of notice is always given!).
A degree in Architectural Technology or similar, with CIAT membership or equivalent. Around 6 to 8 years post qualification experience, though proven delivery matters more than years on paper. Strong Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe skills, plus a solid grip on BIM processes and current building regulations across different jurisdictions.
There's a genuine pathway for progression in a practice that puts real weight on developing its senior technical staff.
