A design-led boutique Architecture and Interiors studio based in Shoreditch is looking to expand its Interiors team with a Technical Interior Designer / Interior Technologist to support the delivery of bespoke commercial workplace, residential and mixed-use projects.
The Role:
This position is ideal for a technically focused designer or technologist with 2-4 years’ experience who enjoys developing innovative interior concepts into well-resolved, buildable solutions.
You will work on retrofit and CAT B workplace environments, as well as high-end residential schemes that challenge traditional design with a strong emphasis on human-centric design, technical detailing, and material quality.
Responsibilities will include:
- Producing and coordinating technical drawing packages from concept through to construction
- Supporting project delivery across workplace, commercial, and adaptive reuse sectors
- Developing detailed layouts, joinery packages, and technical interior details
- Assisting with material selections, FF&E coordination, and specification documentation
- Coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
- Reviewing drawings, technical packages, and construction information for accuracy and compliance
- Supporting BIM and CAD workflows in revit
- Ensuring designs align with UK Building Regulations and project standards
- Attending site visits and assisting with technical queries during project delivery
Essential Criteria
- 2–4 years’ experience in a technical interior design or interior technologist role
- Experience working on commercial workplace or mixed-use projects
- Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge
- Proficiency in Revit
- Understanding of materials, joinery detailing, and interior construction
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A portfolio demonstrating technical capability and high-quality project delivery
